Analyzed firm-level stock returns from WRDS CRSP and employment data from WRDS Compustat, studying how the relationship changed before and after 1988. Compared market-, SIC industry-, and firm-level aggregation to test how aggregation choices affect estimated employment “stickiness.”
Designed a synthetic-control study around new Costco locations to evaluate municipal fiscal effects. Constructed comparison groups and used causal-inference reasoning to frame a practical local-development question.
Studied the relationship between market-share decline and R&D output. The analysis found increased patent filings after market deterioration, consistent with a possible strategic innovation response.
Conducted statistical analysis for a FAIRMiles consortium survey of 69 organizations representing about 6,500 farms in 16 Sub-Saharan African countries. The work examined how restrictions on airfreighted fresh produce could affect exporter livelihoods; the analysis estimated roughly 2.5 livelihoods supported per marginal tonne of airfreighted produce.
