Interactive data project
Mexico conflict-event map.
A spatial exploration of where reported political-violence events cluster in Mexico using ACLED data.
Interpretation note: ACLED records political violence and protest events. A geographic cluster is not, by itself, evidence that every event in the area is cartel-related. Any public version should explain the filtering and aggregation used.

Set mapEmbedUrl in assets/js/config.js after publishing your transformed map on a separate host such as an R2 custom domain.
Method note
Add a concise description of the date range, event types included, how fatalities or event counts are weighted, and what you mean by a “hotbed.” This is more valuable than presenting the map as self-explanatory.
